BOSCH and SIEMENS

.
BOSCH and SIEMENS
BSH Home Appliances has a strong commitment to the environment. Most appliances are made from recyclable materials and are locally manufactured in either New Bern, NC or La Follette, TN.

. In March 1997, BSH started production of its European designed dishwashers at the New Bern, North Carolina site. Since 1999, BSH has also been producing cooktops and ventilation hoods at New Bern. In December 2001 BSH announced it was to expand its activities in North America, and started building two new factories. This has meant that since the end of 2003 it has been able to add freestanding ranges, washing machines and laundry dryers to the list of products it manufactures in the US. Then, in 2004 BSH expanded the dishwashing factory by an additional 100,000 square feet and in 2008 announced the production of an entirely new dishwasher line called Ascenta.

The factory lies in picturesque Campbell County, Tennessee, at the foot of the Cumberland mountains, and produces Thermador’s “Professional Series” line. The product portfolio includes stainless steel gas cooktop, electric/gas cooktop, gas cooktops, ventilation hoods, and accessories, which are developed and manufactured at the site. Cooktops are offered in 30”, 36” and 48” formats. The products are predominantly destined for the local market.

Anchor Hocking

Anchor Hocking Bakeware is made in Ohio. I have 2 of the 8"X8" baking pans. One is a beautiful blue color, the other is clear. I have never used glass before purchasing these pans, but once I started using them, I discovered that I love them. No more metal pans rusting or getting pit marks in them for me!

Anchor also has a guarantee on their products. They make much more that just bakeware.

Anchor Hocking products are available at most department stores, such as K-Mart, and can also be found in most grocery stores.

Remember, each time you buy an American made product, you save an American job.

Sunsilk hair care

Sunsilk Hair Care made by Unilever. The bottle says it's made in the USA, but some research shows that Unilever is a multi-country company. Unilever makes many products, including Surf laundry soap. When buying Unilever products, make sure to check the label for the "Made in USA" statement.

I like Sunsilk Daring Volume. I have very thin hair. This product ads a little volume to my hair, and leaves it silky smooth when I use both the shampoo and the conditioner.

Puzzles made in the U.S.A.

I'm a puzzle fanatic. I've been doing them since I was a small child. I found an American company that makes great quality puzzles. I recently purchased the 2000 piece Neuschwanstein Castle puzzle made by Buffalo Games.

Normally a puzzle of this size will keep me busy for a week. This one kept me busy for a month. It was one of the most difficult puzzles I have ever worked. Usually I tear a puzzle down and re-work it in a few months, but this one I decided to frame. I felt a real sense of accomplishment when I finally put the last piece in place.

This puzzle has all of the normal puzzle piece shapes, and a few odd shaped pieces. There is a poster included as a solving guide. It was very helpful. The thing I found unusual was that the pieces were sealed in a bag inside the box to prevent loss.

This puzzle had quality workmanship. Most puzzles have frayed edges at the points of the pieces. This one had very few frayed pieces.

If you're looking for a challenge, Buffalo Games offers more difficult puzzles on their website. You can find 3-D puzzles, and double sided puzzles.

For quality entertainment, I highly recommend buying one today. In fact, why not buy two and help save American jobs.

Just Born Brands

Mike and Ike

A great candy isn't made, It's just Born!

I found 0.9 oz boxes of Mike and Ike candies in a local store for just .25 each! What a great deal when you want something sweet and chewy. Mike and Ike come in assorted flavors, and are made by the same people who make that sweet marshmallow Easter treat--Peeps.

Can anyone remember a childhood Easter without Peeps? I know I couldn't wait to find where the Easter Bunny hid mine! Those cute little yellow chicks always made me squeel with delight.

As quoted from their website: " We have never purchased milk or milk products from China. ALL of our products are safe to consume."

Way to go people!

This company supplies over 475 jobs and has two factories in PA. one of them is in
Lehigh Valley

Make sure to pick some up today, AND SAVE AMERICAN JOBS. The next job saved may be your own!

Avon

Avon is a company whose products are American made. Avon does no animal testing, which is another big plus to us animal lovers. Support this company, and your local Avon representative.

Who doesn't need to pamper themselves with such things as bubble baths, Skin So Soft, perfumes, lip and nail colors, etc.
Please check with your Avon rep about the giftware items, they may not be American made. If you're an Avon rep and have further information, please let me know.

Buy American made and save jobs. The next job saved may be your own.
I don't know about you, but I for one am tired of losing our American jobs to other countries. I'm tired of Corporate America looking for the cheap way out, at the expense of American jobs. I hate that greedy corporations encourage sweat shops in poorer countries and force people to work for pennies a day so that they can reap huge profits. I'm tired of inferior products being sold to us that endanger our health or kill our pets.

Don't these companies realize that if the American people don't have jobs, they aren't going to be able to spend money on their products? And they wonder WHY their company isn't doing well! Wake up people! It's time our factories came back home and Americans went back to work!

With America now having it's highest unemployment rate since the Great Depression, I think we need to stop being so charitable to other countries, and start helping ourselves again.
It's time for us to take a stand and get our jobs back! We need to stop buying foreign made products and send a message to the companies who ship jobs overseas that we will not stand idly buy while they put us out in the streets!

The purpose of this blog is to make a list of products still made right here at home. Remember, every time you buy an American made product, you SAVE AN AMERICAN JOB. The next job saved may be your own!

As the days and weeks pass, I hope to be able to provide you with a lengthy list of American made products. If you know of American made products that you would like to include, please let me know.
